Instructions on replacing the media kit

 

To change replacement kits, please follow the instructions below.  Change replacement kit and oil for the first 5000 miles then every 10,000 miles.

1. Use the given wrench to install and remove the filter 2. Insert the wrench into the bottom socket when installing and removing the filter.

3. Loosen the top relief valve nut by using the wrench as shown. 4.  Once the relief valve nut is loose, remove the nut.

5. After removing the relief valve nut pry open the top cover.  It may not be always necessary to do this, Once the filter is in use, It can be removed by very easily. 6. Once you remove the cover, It shows the top mesh sitting on the cartridge.  Do not remove the rubber gasket, which is the ant-drain back valve.

7. Remove the top mesh. To clean the mesh, just give it a little flick to remove settled particles. 8. To remove cartridge, removed the flow tube by first loosening it using the claw end of the wrench.  You do not need to do this if the filter is used, the used cartridge just slips out when you turn the filter upside down.
NOTE; THE MACHINED FILTERS HAVE THE FLOW TUBES WELDED AT THE BOTTOM, YOU CANNOT REMOVE IT.

9. Remove the inner flow tube, once loosened by using the claw end of the wrench. 10. This picture shows the bottom of the body and the inner flow tube and the cartridge completely apart.
Replace Oring Oring in place
11. Change the inner Oring every time you change the cartridge.  Simply insert the Oring into the Groove, by pressing The Oring into the groove, against the walls of the cover 12. The Oring has to sit in the groove completely pressed inside the cover. Make sure to change the top gasket at every oil change.

Oil filter completely dis-assembled.  After re-assembling the filter, make sure everything is snug tight.
