INSTRUCTIONS ON REMOVING THE CARTRIDGE FOR TR3/2-30R
RACING APPLICATION
 

1) Notice the top valve of the filter. It has a 6.25" bolt in the middle.
This Bolt has to be unscrewed before you do anything.
CAUTION: IF YOU DO NOT UNSCREW THIS BOLT COMPLETELY AND TRY TO REMOVE THE TOP VALVE, YOU MAY CROSS THREAD THE VALVE AND MAY NEVER BE ABLE TO DISASSEMBLE THE FILTER AGAIN.

2) Use a 9/16 socket wrench to loosen the 6.25" Bolt
   

3) USE OUR WRENCH TO UNSCREW THE TOP VALVE. IT MAY BE TOUGH TO UNSCREW JUST BE SURE NOT TO CROSS THREAD WHILE DOING SO.
   

4) Once you loosen the Valve Remove it by simply unscrewing it with your fingers. Do not unscrew the bypass mesh nut. Let it stay screwed inside the valve. Remove it only when you need to clean it by simply using a 1/2" socket wrench. The bypass mesh nut has to be screwed until it revolves no more.

5) Remove the cartridge guard by simply turning the filter upside down. This guard keeps the cartridge in place and is very important that you place it back in while assembling the filter.
   

6) REMOVE THE 10 MICRON WASHABLE CARTRIDGE. SIMPLY WASH THIS CARTRIDGE WITH SOAP AND WATER AND RINSE IT AND DRY IT COMPLETELY. MAKE SURE IT IS DRY BEFORE YOU INSERT IT BACK IN.  THE CARTRIDGE HAS TO BE CLEANED AFTER EVERY RACE.
   

7) Insert the cover back in. Screw the valve
back in. Tighten the mesh nut. Tighten the
Reinforcing Bolt. Install a new gasket. You
May have to use a Mallet to push it in.
